1. Hike It or Bike It Day
Check the weather, plot your course and try a day spent 100% either on foot or two wheels. This is a nice way to really get to know your community and enjoy the great outdoors. Make sure to do some research and check out any points of interest such as historic sites, parks, or scenic areas. Consider all you’ll need to have well in advance. A small backpack or survival kit could include sunscreen, a map, water, camera, a compass, snacks, a good book, and picnic blanket. Stopping somewhere special for a meal or afternoon refreshments is a nice reward along the trail.
